Psychological Music Concert
On October 10, 2024, marks the 33rd World Mental Health Day, the Student Psychological Health Center of our university organized a group psychological counseling activity centered on music relaxation and stress relief. Teachers and students used music as a medium to build a spiritual sanctuary together, embarking on a journey of mental relaxation.
During the music creation session, students freely selected their preferred instruments from the instrument racks, such as the ethereal drum, hand drums, maracas, and triangles. Guided by their instructors, they composed music that reflected their inner emotions and expressed their feelings. In the music meditation session, the psychology teacher played soft, natural meditation music and guided participants to take deep breaths, slow down their bodily rhythms, and imagine themselves in a tranquil environment. They also used progressive muscle relaxation techniques to alleviate anxiety.
In the future, our university will continue to uphold the student-centered educational philosophy, further popularize knowledge about mental health and psychological well-being, and advocate for the entire campus to jointly build a mental health system, address mental health issues collectively, and share the benefits of mental health initiatives, thus enhance the quality and coverage of mental health services for students, promoting their holistic development.
